Friday and Saturday’s are my days to operate our flea market. I am thankful for the distraction, it gets me out of the house and makes me socialize. It also serves as a break from the constant flow of news or as I refer to it, the good, the bad and the ugly. Sometimes on my ride to the flea market, I will turn on NPR and listen to the headlines, but usually I keep the radio off while I drive.
However, when I arrive home it is usually sensory overload. Today was like that. There is too much to cover, so I will skip the long drawn out diatribe and hit the high points. Anti-Semitism is alive and well in Congress thanks in part to these three ladies : Alexandria Ocasio Cortez, Rashid Talib, and Ms. Ilhan Omar. Then there are the shrill cries that having black people on your staff doesn’t mean you aren’t racist. AOC tried to clear it up, and they have just made a mess. The first step to getting out of the hole is to stop digging. I suppose that concept is too complicated to grasp.
Well, I have decided that I am not going to write anything else about this crap today. You guys take it easy and I will catch up with you all later.
